When you anxiously await to emerge from deep darkness, you will realize the beauty of light. This is the perfect quote to describe the feeling of anxiety that many people go through in life. The dread that you’re not good enough or that no one will love you. The anxiety that others see you as a loser and that they don’t like you.

That feeling where you feel like your dreams are out of reach and that your life isn’t moving forward in the right direction. It’s difficult to understand how much these feelings can weigh on someone until you see them in their own words. When I began to write this book, I was frustrated because I felt like I wasn’t progressing in my writing career.

I didn’t know if my books would ever be published or if anyone would really care about what I had to say. When I read Nelson Mandela’s quote, it hit home for me because it described how I felt, when I woke up every morning and went out into the world for work. That feeling was when I felt anxious because I knew nobody was going to appreciate what I had to say.

It was when all hope seemed lost and no good could come from anything, yet something kept me going day after day, month after month, year after year, always trying to find my way out of the darkness.
